The 1981 Philippine presidential election and national referendum was held on June 16, 1981. President
Marcos' 80% margin of victory is the most lopsided
Marcos would have served another six-year term ending in 1987, but it was cut short by the 1986 snap election that eventually resulted in his ouster in the People Power Revolution.

Presidential election
Marcos won in every province and city canvassed by the Batasang Pambansa. Marcos' vote totals won't be surpassed until 2022, when his son Bongbong won the presidency.
Marcos won overwhelmingly, Like the presidential election, the measure was carried by overwhelming margins, but notably a large majority in Muntinlupa rejected the measure; it was otherwise carried other places canvassed by the Batasang Pambansa.
