History

In Australia between 1976 and 1980, and seems first in the literature in a sequence of Six articles by the same name published by US Computer world in May - June 1981[5] . Information technology engineering ITE, initially providing data analysis and database design practices used by database administrators and by systems analysts to improve Database design and systems. It is base on a kind of operational processing requirement of the order of government for the eighty of the ninth century. The Martin thread was database design-driven from the outset, and 1983 focused on the possibility of automating the development process through the provision of techniques for business description that could be used to populate a data dictionary or encyclopedia that could, in turn, used as source material for code generation. The Martin methodology provided a foundation for the CASE Computer-aided software engineering tool industry. Martin himself had significant stakes in at least four CASE tool vendors - InTech (Excelerator), Higher-Order Software, Knowledge Ware, formerly Database Design Inc, Information engineering Workbench and James Martin Associates, originally DMW and now Headstrong (the original designers of the Texas Instruments' CA Gen and the principal developers of the methodology). At the end of the 1980s and early 1990s, the Martin thread incorporated Rapid application development RAD and Business process re-engineering BPR and soon after also entered the object-oriented field. Over this same period, the Finkelstein thread evolved further into Enterprise architecture EA, and his business-driven ITE methods evolved into Enterprise Engineering for the rapid delivery of EA. The book: "Enterprise architecture for Integration: Rapid Delivery Methods and Technologies." First edition by Clive Finkelstein (2006) in hardcover. The second edition (2011) is in PDF and as an iBook on the Apple iPad and eBook on the Amazon Kindle.

Clive Finkelstein is recognized as the "Father" of information technology engineering, having established its ideas from 1976 to 1980 based on original work done by him to link from strategic business planning to Information system [6] . He wrote the first publication on information technology engineering: a sequence of six articles of a similar name in print by US Computer world in May - June 1981. He also co-authored with James Martin, the influential Savant Institute Report titled: "Information engineering," posted on Nov 1981. The Finkelstein thread changed from 1976 as the business-driven variant of ITE. The Martin thread turned into the data processing-driven (DP) modified of ITE. From 1983 till 1986, ITE evolved further into a robust business-driven option of ITE, which was planned to address a fast-varying business environment. The then technical director, Charles M. Richter, from 1983 to 1987, led by Clive Finkelstein, played a significant role by refurbishing the ITE methodology as well as serving to design the ITE software product (user-data) which aided automate the ITE methodology, opening the way to next-generation Information architecture.

The Australian Computer Society ACS, the Association for Computing Machinery ACM, the British Computer Society (BCS), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics EngineersIEEE are examples of societies that have made public ethical principles such that their members should adhere to these codes. Ethics provides the IT engineer with the ability to make a prior decision on whether his/her opinion is appropriate and therefore to take responsibility for the actions [11]. The main critical ethical issues that can be attributed to ITE are copyright protection, security, privacy, piracy, software piracy, and business ethics. In other words, IT engineer should adhere to the following ethical principles:

  • Be fair, honest, and trustworthy.
  • Acknowledgment of other copyrights.
  • Access computing resources if permissions are granted.
  • Keep confidential information private.
