Germanium monoxide (

amphoteric dissolving in acids to form germanium(II) salts and in alkali to form "trihydroxogermanates" or "germanites" containing the Ge(OH)3 ion.[2]

Chemistry

Germanium oxide decomposes to Ge and GeO2.[3]
